Admissions

Our program currently offers one open position per year for the two year residency duration.  Thus, two residents will be in the program at any given time.

All applicants must have a strong foundation in physics which may be achieved via the completion of an undergraduate degree in physics.  Alternatively, the applicant may possess a degree in engineering or physical science if coursework includes at least three upper-level undergraduate courses that would be required for a physics major.  Additionally, they must have achieved a high level of knowledge of medical physics as documented by having earned a Master, Certificate or Doctoral degree from a CAMPEP accredited education program. Our program will not accept any candidates from non-CAMPEP accredited programs.

For applicants from CAMPEP accredited programs, all didactic coursework must be completed prior to the beginning of the residency.  Our program is unable to offer support for any remedial coursework, unfortunately.

Our residency program offers will be contingent upon the satisfactory completion of a mandatory pre- placement screening, which includes testing for the illegal use of drugs and a general health screening, and also the successful completion of a background check. Prior to starting your job, official documentation of being allowed to work legally in the United States will also be required.

Interested applicants should apply to our program through the MedPhys Match. More detailed information regarding our program can be accessed below:
*The “sample offer letter” is currently drafts for ACGME residents but will apply to CAMPEP residents also.
