Analytical X-Ray Machine Use
Any individual using an analytical X-Ray machine must be trained in basic radiation safety principles and the actual operation of the machine. Radiation safety topics include:
- Regulatory requirements for the use of analytical X-Ray equipment
- Concepts of ionizing radiation and radiation dose
- Health hazards associated with analytical X-Ray machines
- Applicable radiation safety policies and procedures
The training dates are routinely on the 4th Wednesday of every month, at 10am via Microsoft Teams. Please contact Michael Kennedy with any further questions or to schedule training.
Instruction on the actual operation of the unit will be provided by departmental personnel.
