Dosimetry
Individuals who are occupationally exposed to ionizing radiation and are likely to receive a dose in excess of 10% of the applicable annual allowable limit will be issued a radiation monitoring device (radiation dosimeter).
Human Use
Exposure of human subjects to ionizing radiation (radiation) in the course of a biomedical research study involves several considerations in addition to those applied to clinical research studies which do not incorporate such an intervention.
Isotope Research
Radioactive material is commonly used in research. In biomedical research, incorporating radioactive materials into cells and other biological material allows for location and measurement of sites of interest.
